David Cook Announced American Idol 2008 (Video)

David Cook has taken out this years 'American Idol' after beating 17-year-old David Archuleta by almost 12 million votes.With judge Simon Cowell declaring that Archuleta was the "knock-out" performer on Tuesday nights show, the audience cast over 97 million votes to award Cook with the title."I'm absolutely at a loss for words right now," Cook said following Ryan Seacrest's announcement of the winner.  "This is amazing - thank you!"Watch Cook's winning moment below.  Photo courtesy of Fox.
